BBS:
Baby butt smooth. A completely smooth shave result. Circular rubbing pattern with the fingertips can't detect any sort of stubble left, period. See also DFS, CCS and SAS.​
BBW:
Belgian Blue Whetstone (razor hone). It's commonly the backing to vintage Coticules (modern Coticules tend to use a slate backing). If it's a natural-combo stone, the blue/black side is always BBW. BBWs can also be purchased on their own.
BBX:
Barbe Bleue Model X guardless double-edged razor. "Guardless", in the case of the BBX, means that the razor's baseplate is narrow so that the blade edges are completely exposed. The BBX is one example of a category of doubled-edged razors with unguarded blade exposure, dubbed the "DEvette" (by analogy to "shavette". See also DEvette.
BBXB:
Barbe Bleue Model XB: Black matte finish double-edge razor, guardless on one side, straight-bar guard on the other. The handle is heavier and thicker than the BBX handle (does not fit in the BBX inkwell stand).

A category of doubled-edged razors with complete blade exposure (by analogy to "shavette"). A DEvette (also spelled "devette") can be homemade by manually reducing the width of a DE razor's baseplate, or by leaving off the baseplate altogether when the razor and blade are assembled for shaving. DFS:
Damn Fine Shave. A near-BBS. WTG/XTG is completely smooth, ATG will feel a little bit of light stubble. (see BBS, CCS)​
