Ingredients
- 2 pounds of lean ground beef
- 2 cans of dark kidney beans
- 2 cans of medium kidney beans
- 2 cans of light kidney beans
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 cans of diced tomatoes or 4 large tomatoes diced
- 1 small can of tomato paste
- chili powder, salt, black pepper, cumin
Method
- okay, first put the beef and onion in a large pot with a little water and cook over low heat until the beef is done.
- Add the tomatoes and paste at this time and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Now add the beans, juice and all. Put in 2 tablespoons of chili powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of cumin, salt and pepper as needed.
- Bring to a low boil, stirring to keep things from sticking. Taste regularly and season to taste.
- Simmer for at least 1 hour.
You can serve it now, but it will bve better tomorrow, after everything has swam around together for a while.<br>
Toppings like sour cream, cheddar cheese and olives are just gilding.
