Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/2 lbs mild pork sausage
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 or 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 cups chicken broth or bouillon
  • 1 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raw rice (do not use instant or "minute" type rice!)

Method

  1. Crumble the sausage into a skillet and brown it.
  2. Pour off some of the fat.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients, cover and simmer for about an hour, on the lowest possible heat.
