Peking Noodles Recipe

Ingredients

  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Shallot or Scallion
  • 2-3 ox. Ground Pork
  • 1/2 tsp XO Sauce or Hot Bean Paste (see note)
  • 2-3 oz. Chicken Stock
  • 1T Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • Fresh Lo Mein noodles
  • 1 T chopped Cilantro for garnish
  • 1 tsp chopped scallion for garnish

Method

  1. In a large skillet briefly saute minced garlic, ginger, and shallot (or scallion) in a bit of oil until fragrant.
  2. Add 2-3 oz ground pork and saute until almost cooked through.
  3. Add 1/2 tsp XO sauce or hot bean paste.
  4. Add 2-3 oz chicken stock, 1T dark soy, 1/2 tsp sugar, and 1/2 tsp sesame oil.
  5. Cook fresh lo mein noodles in salted boiling water for 2 minutes, the add to pan.
  6. Add 1T chopped cilantro 1 tsp chopped scallion.
  7. Toss and serve.



I use Lee Kum Kee and Har Har respectively, when I don't have time to make my own
