My Shaving History

The dark years

At the age of 15 I started to shave "regularly". I used cream from a pressurized can and a cheap Bic razor.
After a year I switched over to gillette mach 3 turbo.
Around this time my father gave me his old Old spice Shaving mug and Boar Brush.
I quickly learned to use it and enjoyed it.
At the same time I read about a Straight razor course in a the local paper.
A year later my across the street neighbour who knew I was interested in "old" ways of shaving.
She came over one day and gave me a little gift: It was a Double Edge Gilette. Her Husband didn't used it any more because he was shaving electric.
So the next 3 years I shaved with this little baby.

The travel of blood, sweat and tears

At the age of 19 I signed up for an Straight razor evening course. After the first session I shaved myselve once every two days.
After the second session I was ready to embark on my shaving mission: Do a perfect shave with a straight razor.
In the first 3 months several people asked me how I got injured on my face.
One friend even asked me if "I have been in a fight with a cat".
But after a year I finally got the hang of it.

The Era of Enlightenment

The days went past as I used a lot of cella and cheap After shave.
Untill now I am shaving with that same razor. I've bought some other soaps and brushes. But I still enjoy a good shave.
