Notes of Interest: Introduced in 1921, the case was "French Ivory" or "Imitation Ivory" celluloid case. Blade boxes were either gold plated or imitation ivory. Inside of lid has Gillette diamond and Aristocrat in gold lettering. Price was $6 to $13.50

Description: Gold plated, barber pole style handle.
Notes of Interest: This model was introduced for the holiday season of 1934 and retailed for $4.00. This was the first twist to open model Gillette offered. There were 2 different boxes for these razors; a gold plated case with a greek key pattern, and the blue leather box. Additionally, the late 30's Aristocrat has no rivets visible on the side of the head. Please see the last photograph, picture credit to enderi.

Description: Gold plated, smooth below the neck and above the TTO mechanism.
Notes of Interest: There are three different boxes for this razor; a blue leather with white lining/blue lettering on the lid; brown leather with white lining/maroon lettering on the lid; and brown leather with maroon lining/gold lettering on the lid. The exact order of their release is being researched but has yet to be determined. Additionally, there are 2 variations of the 1940's Aristocrat; the 1941 version is unnothced and does not have end caps; and the unnotched post-war 1946-1947 variety that does have end caps. These can be seen in the last photo comparing the former to the latter.

Notes of Interest: Introduced in 1948, this is the "third" closed-comb Aristocrat model, which features a notched center bar to make replacing the razor blade faster and safer. Ads refer to this as the Improved Aristocrat. This notch improvement was done for the Milord and Superspeed as well. The paper outer box is shown below as well as the instructions.
