Notes of Interest: Introduced in 1921, the case was "French Ivory" or "imitation ivory" celluloid case. Blade boxes were either gold plated or imitation ivory. Inside of lid has Gillette diamond and Aristocrat in gold lettering. Price was $6 to $13.50
New De Luxe Aristocrat

Notes of Interest: This model was introduced for the holiday season of 1934 and retailed for $4.00. This was the first twist to open model Gillette offered.
There were 2 different boxes for these razors. A gold plated case with a greek key pattern and the blue leather box.
Additionally, the late 30's Aristocrat has no rivets visible on the side of the head. Please see the last photograph { picture credit to enderi}

Notes of Interest: There 3 different boxes , a blue leather with white lining/ blue lettering on the lid, brown leather with white lining/maroon lettering on the lid and the brown leather with maroon lining/gold lettering on the lid. I don't believe the exact order has been determined, though it is being researched.
There are 2 variations of the 1940's Aristocrat , well, 3 if you count the 48-50 version. The 1941 version is not notched and has no end caps. The post-war 1946-1947 variety has no notch , but does have end caps. These can be seen in the last photo of the 2 razors.
